Marketing and Development Intern, Cambridge, MA (U.S.)

In this full-time, paid position, the marketing and development intern will work jointly with the marketing and strategic partnerships teams to develop marketing content and grant materials. The intern will also be responsible for optimizing our grant application, award submission and marketing systems. As part of this role, the intern may also have the opportunity to contribute to our blog.

  • Draft and edit content for marketing materials and grant applications
  • Identify potential conferences for Sproxil to attend and assist with abstract submissions
  • Create organizational systems to help identify, catalog, and apply for grant and award applications
  • Research potential grant and award opportunities
  • Input information into Sproxil’s CRM
  • Conduct background research and create briefs on potential partnership opportunities

A highly reliable individual with enthusiasm, creativity, and keen attention to detail is required, combined with excellent verbal and visual communication skills. You will have these qualifications:

  • Exceptional ability to write clear, concise descriptions of service offerings and policies
  • Comfort with writing about a highly technical subject
  • A basic understanding of business terminology
  • Interest in developing organizational systems and training others on usage of those systems
  • High motivation and intelligence with strong English communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently and flexibly in a small company environment which is both demanding and multicultural
  • Past grant writing experience
  • An understanding of technical system architecture
  • Interest in social media marketing
